Mr. Yusuf Maroka
Study Abroad Consultant and a Certified Career Counselor
Yusuf Maroka is a licensed educator and seasoned professional in student development, career guidance, and psychosocial support, with over 17 years of experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Throughout his career, he has consistently mentored and guided learners, shaping both their academic journeys and personal growth. His approach blends classroom instruction with counseling and life skills training, positioning him as a trusted and impactful figure in education.
He has actively contributed to the design and implementation of Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), bringing both policy insight and classroom application into practice. As a Trainer of Trainers (ToT) on CBC, he has led capacity-building initiatives for educators and school leaders, strengthening curriculum delivery and institutional effectiveness. In his role as a certified career counselor and Head of Careers Department at the high school level, he has developed structured career programs, supported student pathway planning, and embedded career development into school systems.
Currently, Yusuf serves as a Senior Study Abroad Counselor and Head of Department (Asia), overseeing key destinations including Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Turkey, Etc,. In this capacity, as a Certified Career Counsellor, he advises students and families on global education opportunities, aligning academic pathways with career goals and international exposure. Academically, he is currently pursuing his Master’s degree.
Beyond the classroom, Yusuf is a Certified Court-Annexed Mediator, a counseling psychologist and family and marriage therapist, supporting individuals and families through academic, emotional, and relational challenges. He is also an accomplished public speaker, delivering impactful sessions on career guidance, youth empowerment, and personal development. Additionally, he is an author of a stress management book focused on practical strategies for resilience in today’s demanding world.
